“Open thy mouth” is a ubiquitous phrase from the Bible. In the 1769 KJV Bible:

  • Psalms 81:10 — I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
  • Proverbs 31:8 — Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
  • Proverbs 31:9 — Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
  • Ezekiel 2:8 — But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

“Shall be filled” is a ubiquitous phrase from the Bible. In the 1769 KJV Bible:

  • Proverbs 12:21 — There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
