• Works by Stephen Covey and similar self-help and management books
• Ideas of Brene Brown
• Tao Te Ching
• The Triple Path
• The Socratic dialogues
• Kantian ethics
• Utilitarianism
• Some of Tolstoy’s religious writings
• The Church of Reality
• The Church of Spiritual Humanism
• Humanism
• Some of the thoughts of secular humanists like Bart Campolo
• Modern moral philosophy (e.g., What is moral progress?, Being Good and Doing Good, The Virtues of Cold Blood).
• Modern epistemology as it relates to values.
